Meet Coach Jason Ramey, co-owner of Franklin Jiu-Jitsu Club with Scott Coxey. With 10+ years of experience, Coach Ramey is an expert in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
“Once I started training in Jiu Jitsu, I found so many mental and physical benefits that it became my main fitness and social focus,” - Jason Ramey
Coach Ramey’s expertise extends beyond the walls of the Griz Cave. He also serves as Captain of the Bargersville Fire Department and is a United States Army veteran who served in the National Guard for eight years.

Coach Scott Coxey is co-owner of Franklin Jiu Jitsu Club with Jason Ramey. Scott brings 8+ years of experience to the Griz Cave and enjoys the mental and physical benefits that the sport gives.
Coaching the midday classes, Scott’s approach is to get out of your head for an hour and sharpen your jiu-jitsu skills while having fun.

Bryan Zeilinga
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instructor, Striking Fundamentals, and Kid’s Coach, BJJ Black Belt
Coach Bryan Zeilinga has 15+ years of experience and brings the heat to our striking, jiu-jitsu, and kids classes at Franklin Jiu Jitsu Club.
He approaches teaching with a learning mindset, always ready to help students improve in MMA and beyond. Bryan’s knowledge strengthens the Griz Cave’s commitment to providing top-tier instruction to students and giving them a fun atmosphere to learn.

Tyler Cook “John Wick”
Coach Tyler Cook (aka, John Wick) brings his 13+ years of experience to Franklin Jiu Jitsu Club focusing on drilling techniques and muscle memory. He is big on fundamentals while exploring advanced techniques as well.
Tyler’s teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of both technical and conceptual teaching, giving the students an open avenue to ask any questions during class to help them on a one-on-one level.

Brian Bowers
Meet Coach Brian Bowers, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor at the Franklin Jiu-Jitsu Club with 13+ years of experience.
When he is not at the Franklin Jiu-Jitsu Club, he is the professor of The Hangout Jiu-Jitsu Club in Indianapolis, Indiana, as well as a federal law enforcement officer and a physical tactics and firearms instructor for his agency.
Having employed jiu-jitsu techniques to defend his life, he strongly believes that jiu-jitsu is critical knowledge for all law enforcement personnel.
Brian’s wealth of knowledge and experience benefits both new students and seasoned competitors and teaches jiu-jitsu in an accessible manner.

Felecia “Rooster” Bain
Felecia Bain (aka, Rooster) is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner with 4+ years of experience who started her journey at Chango and currently trains under Professor Tyler Cook.
She is a women’s coach at Franklin Jiu-Jitsu Club and a coach at the Hangout Jiu-Jitsu Club in Indianapolis, Indiana, as well as a federal law enforcement officer and a physical tactics instructor for her agency.
Felecia’s approachable and practical instruction appeals to many students, especially women of all ages and law enforcement. She is dedicated to coaching, teaching, and building people up in both the world of martial arts and beyond.

Randy Jewell
Jiu-Jitsu Assistant Instructor, BJJ Purple Belt
Coach Randy helps lead our 5 AM jiu-jitsu classes. He brings 6+ years of experience to the Franklin Jiu-Jitsu Club. He is encouraging and a patient guide for our new students!
Keith Palmer
Boxing Instructor
Keith Palmer began boxing at the age of 11 under Indiana Boxing Hall of Fame coach Ron Kern. As a coach, he has worked with numerous amateur and professional fighters and was the boxing coach for UFC veteran Chris “Lights Out” Lytle. He has traveled internationally with his fighters to Denmark, Germany, Japan, England, Ireland, Canada, and Mexico. His fighters have competed in televised bouts on ESPN, HBO, Showtime, Pay Per View, and in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. After almost 15 years away from the sport, he is excited to bring his boxing expertise here to the Griz Cave.
